If this topic is that high on our government's priority list, we are headed in the wrong direction.Flag

Name: Shell Nelson on Jun 14, 2006Comments: When I choose to dine out, I choose places which serve meals I wouldn't prepare everyday for myself. I want the steak, the rich, calorie laden dessert, the endless chips and salsa. It's an occasional indulgence and I don't want an outside influence telling my chefhow to prepare my food or how much food to put on my plate. If the ignorant in our soceity who cannot make smart decisions need to policed at all times, perhaps the government should spend more time building sanitariums where they can be watched 24 hours a day and less time meddling in the rest of our lives.Flag

Name: Amy Ramirez on Jun 14, 2006Comments: The US gov't is slowly taking away our rights as citizens of this country. First, The Patriot Act and now this! I think our gov't should focus on educating the consumer not forcing them into a new diet routine, when it was the gov't who supported food lobbyists (KRAFT) by introducing 'fake' ingredients to food on our shelves. Why not focus on telling the FDA that they have to stop inventing food ingredients, additives and preservatives and start focusing on healthy all natural foods. That probably won't work since the food lobbyists donate so much money to campaigns. I think that is where the real change should take place. I'm tired of our country becoming a COMPANY!!Flag

Name: Francis Johnson on Jun 16, 2006Comments: The cost of food is a minor cost to the restaurants; so the price of meals will not be reduced. Now I get two to three meals through the purchase of one meal through the use of the take home boxes. The result of this action will be a two to three hundred percent in the cost of my meals. Is Social Security going to be increased to cover the increase in the cost of my mealsFlag
