In the UK, a mother is able to split up a family, take the children from their father (not always for a good reason) and contact the CSA (without consultation with her ex) and then claim all the benefits on offer. She also has all the rights and hardly any personal responsibility to her children. The children's father on the other hand, is deemed to inherit the mother's share of the responsibility (as well as his own) with no rights! I recently read an article online that stated there were approximately 2 million, one-parent families in the UK, and of these, 98% are mothers. I wonder if the figure would be so high if they were unable to receive benefits without a justifiable and proven reason! The aim of this message is to highlight the despicable situation a father could find himself in, in the hands on these callous women!!!
