Name: Cathy Debevec on Nov 26, 2012Comments: Put er on EAST WASH or Fordem Av - highly accessible, and fairly central. Traditionally these type of markets help revitalize old unused industrial and warehouse space. PLUS..... east, south and north sides are extremely under served by grocery stores whereas the west side has an overabundance (with more going up all the time!) so logically, it should go somewhere where the locals can utilize it to purchase some of their staple items. E. Wash is perfect because it would capture some of the commuter traffic.Flag

Name: Sarah F Williams on Nov 26, 2012Comments: I'd love a public market in the neighborhood! Having just been to the Milwaukee Public Market for the first time, I can see the benefits, but I would hope that one in our neighborhood would combine more "average" offerings, not just high-end items for special occasions.Flag

Comments: Madison is moving forward with planning for a Public Market. We want to petition the Mayor, Madison Food Council and Common Council to locate the first Public Market on Madison's Eastside. Sign if you agree!Flag -
