Name: Yvonne Booth on Jun 4, 2007Comments: Due to change in the Grane Road the heavies are all now coming down Long Hey Lane and are knocking the walls down, get stuck and the lane is closed up to two hours. Also there are no passing places so cars have to back long distances we need a 20 mph restriction as this is an unclassified lane. We also need the salt bin back as the drains are in the wrong place and the water flows across the road in bad weather it is a sheet of ice. We have photos of this. New signs are needed at both ends of the lane.Flag

Name: Cllr.Julie Slater on Jun 4, 2007Comments: Its time the people of East Rural mattered and their needs are taken into account we need to make sure young and old are safe on our roads at all times. Many people have been hurt so has property this has to stop. It is now time for the council to act and give us safety measures and reduced speed limitsFlag

Name: David Neville on Jun 10, 2007Comments: Whilst recognising the traffic calming improvements at the cross-roads of Marsh House and Blacksnape Road, speeding continues to be a problem on the road through the village itself. In fact it appears to have got significantly worse in recent weeks. Would the Police please disclose how many speedinf motorists thay have caught with their mobile units in the last few weeksFlag

Name: Mrs Karen Mallord on Jul 9, 2007Comments: I use all these roads everyday as I work in Manchester. They are all poorly maintained. I thought I was behind a drunk driver recently till I realised they were just avoiding the potholes in the road.. Hoddlesden road has access to a nursery and a primary school but cars still drive at ridiculous speeds. Marsh House Lane is also a hazard. My child attends Marshmallows day nursery and I often have "near misses" entering and exiting the gateway because people are going too fast.Flag

Name: Lynne Gillen on Jul 10, 2007Comments: Speed calming measures need to introduced going into and out of each village. Although I don't particularly agree with speed humps, I would be happy to see them installed to slow drivers down to a sensible speed.Flag
