Reduction of Unfair Child Support Rates

Arkansas fathers are expected to pay an unreasonable percentage of thier income to child support. While many of us want to pay our support, all to often we find ourseves finacially unable to support ourselves or our new families. We are petitioning to reduce the rediculous amounts established in this state.

4 years ago Comments: The system is pure crap! After child support and basic monthly expenses, my fiance is supposed to eat on $1,200 a year. That's $23.08 per week. That's NO entertainment, no medical for himself, no NOTHING extra. What adult do you know that can eat on $23 p/w?! Meanwhile the "baby mama" is making $12 more p/h, shacked up with a guy that's helping with financial support, AND the court order (if you can call meeting with an $8 an hour making social worker who fills out a spreadsheet and neglects to fill in all of the income for the mom and makes up expenses that don't exist a "court order") was issued without a paternity test. But it takes money and time to fight the system, and that's the two things that the system makes sure these guys DON'T have. What is just and fair about that?! Work two jobs, give all your money over to some vindictive woman so you don't have time to see your kids, and it doesn't matter any way, because a support order doesn't include visitation... that's a separate issue that takes more time and money. What a racket the government and irresponsible women have going on!

4 years ago Comments: I'm a security guard and only make 12/hr though i'm still paying well over 400.00 a paycheck and 800+ a month. My kid's mother keeps claiming "kids are expensive, kids are expensive" but i dont buy that argument anymore. She has threatened to take me to court over not getting life insurance as well though with this insane support order, i can't afford it!
