We, the Associated Student Government, want to increase voter registration, education, and turnout here in Washington County and one of the largest untapped resources is the University of Arkansas. With at least 31,000 people eligible to register passing through campus each week, it would be the largest voting block in the county. Establishing this center would place a voting station where residents are during voting hours rather than where their residence is. This would grant greater accessibility to students, faculty, and staff, as well as the surrounding community. Here are a few benefits of establishing a voting center on campus:

• The Associated Student Government, with the help of other on-campus organizations, is able to cover the costs of such a station.
• It is in a central location to the community and the campus.
• The location is will be adjacent to the Razorback Transit Union Station which is a stop for all routes.
• The location fits ADA accommodations.
• This location would provide a central center for registration, education, and voting.
• The location would allow student leaders to encourage first time voters and help them better understand the process.
• It would help the county, state, and nation gather more accurate data concerning student voters.
• Our enrollment is projected to reach 27,000 students this year in addition to our almost 5,000 faculty and staff.
