I believe that if a high-school student works hard and completes all of his/her required courses by the beginning of the first or second semester of Senior year they should be able to graduate and move onto college. Some people may claim that students may not be ready for the course load of college, however many high-school students who would qualify for early graduation have already been taking several honors/advanced placement courses (AP/IB) for a couple of years. Others may claim that students may not be intellectually prepared, but I believe if they have maintained a good GPA (3.0 or higher) and have received good grades in their required classes then they should be prepared for college. Early graduation programs should not cost a penny more to anyone, and create wonderful opportunities for hard working, goal oriented students.
