Comments: Durham deserve a showcase tennis facility for the community with indoor and outdoor facilities. I support the resurfacing of the Rock Quarry Tennis Courts and replacement of lighting at Elmira Tennis Courts and Garrett Tennis Courts with a plan for ongoing maintainence and repair.

Comments: I totally agree with the above request. Tennis in Durham has grown considerably over the last several years that I have been playing. Court conditions such as surfaces, lights, nets and brush growth around court fences in Durham have always been poor in my opinion; yet these courts are used for sanctioned USTA play and for tournaments. Durham needs to take greater pride in our recreational facilities.

Comments: Durham needs to step up to the plate and maintain its public tennis facilities, or risk losing not only the resource, but ridicule from the rest of the state.
