Duran Duran - release the other tracks!

In the months leading up to the long-awaited release of ASTRONAUT, a number of rough demos and early versions of various songs leaked out of the recording studio and onto the world wide web. For fans desperate to hear new songs, the unauthorized material was the perfect appetizer. However, to the chagrin of many, the majority of these demo songs did not survive the selection process for the final ASTRONAUT track list. While this is no doubt common practice in the world of recording artists, it is especially striking in the case of ASTRONAUT, because these \'lost\' tracks are beloved by the fans, representing a unique period in the band\'s history. They are considered a part of the Duran Duran legacy. Please consider performing final mixes on -- and issuing officially -- the following tracks: Salt in the Rainbow Pretty Ones Beautiful Colors Virus Lonely Business TV vs Radio A premium EP-CD ($) available to the fan community on duranduranmusic.com would be a wonderful holiday gesture for loyalists (and would help justify the $35 annual fee). If nothing else, making these wonderful songs CD single bonus tracks would please many of your fans around the world. Thanks so much for 20+ years of brilliant music, spectacular live shows and commitment to your fans. We\'ve never wavered, and together we are ALL making 2004 a great year to be a part of the Duran Duran story. Joe Tesora Boston MA

Comments: I firmly believe that fans of Duran Duran would be MORE than willing to pony up for a release of these tracks...especially if they had a choice in formats such as mp3 & FLAC. That is a win/win for BOTH sides.
