No one has devoted more time and effort to documenting the story of Duran Duran and all the fans from all over the world than Andrew Golub, lovingly known to all Duranies as our Durandy. Historian, archivist, activist and of course the #1 Duranie of all time, Andrew should be the band's historian. Durandy has become the glue that holds us all together. He has given so many countless hours and invested an untold fortune into creating the Vault and so graciously opens that vault for any visiting Duran fan. He will laugh with you, cry with you, listen to your story and share it with the world. NO ONE DOES DURAN DURAN HISTORY LIKE DURANDY.
We, the Duran Duran fans from across the globe, want to request the band name Andrew Durandy Golub as the official band historian. We know that, for him, the honor of the title would be enough because he already has all our love, adoration and appreciation!

The band can no longer pretend they do not see this growing wall of support for the person who actually kept their history alive. Durandy deserves this title and we are going to force them to acknowledge the one person who has kept their legacy intact through all these years.

Andrew has devoted SO much of his life to documenting and collecting memorabilia on the band from their earliest times through now. He networks with other Duranies on a global level and does nothing but spread the love. I am proud to have donated a couple of special items to his collection and will continue to try to help him in any way I can.
Andrew is not only documenting the band's history but he is preserving the history of all Duranies around the globe through his meticulous and heart-felt work and dedication. No one can ever amass anything close to the historical record of Duran Duran like Andrew.
Yes!! This man spends countless loving hours and his own dollars preserving a history that means a lot to tons of fans around the world! Parts of his collection have been requested for different programs and events.
I have had the pleasure of meeting Durandy and have had the opportunity to visit The Archive.. there is nothing like it. I am surprised he is not already Duran Duran' s historian!
Who ELSE but Andrew Golub has the knowledge of the band,artistic care,skills,& finesse to preserve the band’s legacy? Please,Duran Duran,make Andrew your official historian,and bring him into the organization,permanently!

I grew up in Texas and where football is just behind Jesus and family in order of devoted worship. The most rabid of that lot isn't in the same universe as Andrew is with Duran Duran. Trust me, that is something I do not say lightly.
