We the undersigned wish to have access to the entertainment (Adult) of our own choosing from the service provider (MultiChoice DSTV South Africa) for which we pay a fee. Why are we being discriminated against for wanting this service be delivered to us?  As consenting responsible adults we should have the right to choose, view and enjoy a service, delivered by a service provider, to its paying customers - the very individuals that ensure the security and continued prosperity of the service provider.

A few points to consider:

-  MultiChoice DSTV has numerous religious channels - if we the undersigned do not practise any of these religions why should we pay for these services?

-  There are numerous channels and Bouquets on DSTV which we the signees do not watch, once again why should we pay for this on a monthly basis?

-  We live in a democratic country where our freedom of expression, speech and the right to live our life in any way we see fit, is one of the fundamental building blocks of our Constitution. Why then is our right to view what we choose for our own personal entertainment not up to us, the paying customers?

-  As with anything, we are aware that there are individuals opposed to this form of entertainment. At no time will this be forced upon anyone opposed, and their choice and opinions will be respected. But just as their opinions, rights and choices to view whatever form of entertainment they wish to, are protected, upheld and respected by the service provider and us, we the signees of this petition wish to have that same right, freedom and respect.

We the undersigned wish to have the right to choose and live our lives as we see fit - especially in the area of personal entertainment in the privacy of our own homes. As outlined in our Bill of Rights we should be secure of this fundamental right in all areas of our life, and we will fight from this point onwards for a fare resolution.
