| 1967 | Judith | Kemper | | US | Mr. President, we, the American people, deserve to know the truth about your intentions regarding the conflict in Iraq. When and why did you determine that it was in the best interest of our nation to invade Iraq? Why was the intelligence faulty? Why was the planning so poor? Why did you mislead us about your intentions? When will you be candid about this subject? |

| 1974 | Ronald | Cole | CA | US | The Downing Street memo is proof that you and your administration mislead Congress, the American people, the U.N., and other nations about the reasons and necesitiy for going to war, and a pre-emptive war, at that. Thousands of American, Iraqis and other lives from many nations have been lost as a result of this decision. Government, especially a democratic one, needs to be accountable to the people, needs to tell the truth, should always engage in diplomacy before hurrying to war. Ours did not. Consequently, we have lost prestige among the nations of the world. We have exacerbated the hatred among Islamic nations for the U.S., and probably increased the possiblity of a terrorist act against our homeland.
We demand answers to these questions. We demand accountability.
Please tell us the truth.
Give us the low down on the Downing Street memo. |

| 1981 | Carl | Longosky | PA | US | It is with great sadness that I am now convinced that this administration lied to the American people regarding the reasons for invading Iraq...at an enormous cost to our country. The President and his Cabinet members should admit their misrepresentations and apologize to the American people, especially to the families of military personnel who lost their lives or have been gravely injured. |

| 1991 | Michelle | Vonderhaar | | | |
| 1992 | Susan | Longosky | PA | US | I can not pretend that the information in the "Downing Street Memo" comes as a surprise to me...I'm just surprised that the memo came to light. I am disappointed and unnerved that the US media has not deemed it worthy of extensive coverage and/or investigation. Why aren't they asking questions and demanding answers about this exposed policy of "fitting the facts" to their desire to invade Iraq?
This president and his administration owe the American People a true accounting of their actions regarding the Iraqi invasion...and a sincere apology for dragging our military into a war that did not have to be fought and causing untold grief and devastation to families and friends of young men and women killed or injured in this unnecessary war. |

| 1996 | S. | Whitney | AZ | US | How can Americas be proud when aggression/WAR is "sold" to REAL freedom-loving, honorable Americans by our President and his staunch supporters through obfuscatiion, secrecy, misleading distortion and deceit? All this weakening of our country's status, ideals, fiscal conservatism and truth has come upon our nation because of your and your untrustworthy close supporters' irresponsible personal GREED for wealth and power who base your moves and our country's actions on arrogant self-aggrandizement using the pretexts of WMD, religion, conservatism (RIGHT!),imminent threat, ad nauseam... As with your drug and alchohol use, past drunk-driving citations, service avoidance and other excesses you'll cover this up, rely on your faithful to again disregard objective negative information, protect you and keep it out of the media and thus from the people of this wonderful country. Why you're not ashamed of the way you are is amazing to ordinary honest democracy-loving Americans. But...this is apparently how you've always successfully been so, "Let [us] eat cake!" |
