Comments: I live in New York City. It is incredible to me that your agency would condone this kind of chemical being injected into the ground no more than a mile from our reseviors. Grant the extension - this is unconscionable

Comments: Recent past history proves that the Gas companies are irresponsible, and devastate the land and surrounding nature for not only the current generation, but for many generations to come. Is not anything held sacred The companies and profiteers are only concerned by the dollar, they are not concerned on who they CRAP on and what path of destruction they leave in their wake! A shame...

Comments: That the oil and gas industry is allowed to completely pervert the democratic process and "buy" permission from washington to violate individual property rights is absolutely eggregious and completely undermines any faith I have in our government. These risks are very real and threaten every aspect of my familis wellbeing.

Comments: And the big unanswered question: why is this industry granted an exemption to the laws that all others must obey: the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Clean Water Act, and the Clean Air Act If there is "no problem," then why not enforce the law equally.

Comments: my home borders NYS. I thank the DEC for the several steps it has taken to better regulate the gas industry. The 800 page document, definately, takes a great deal of time to read, and not even a good glance can be done within the timelimits you have set. please extend the deadline to 120 days so that one can analize the draft with critical thought, as it is a very serios topic.

Comments: Those lawmakers who rely on the DEC as their sole source of information regarding the dangers of gas drilling need to broaden their information base. And look past the money to be made by the gas companies to the destruction of the environment that their activities will certainly create.

Comments: I strongly urge the DEC to extend the public comment period and to reassess the impact of gas drilling on a cummative basis rather than a site by site basis. This is too critical an issue to NYS residents and our Catskill environment to cut public discussion short!

Comments: There is so much at risk here, it is imperative that we take the time to study the ramifications of entering into the industrialization of the Catskill by gas drilling. It has caused very serious, sometimes irreversible complications in other states and we must not follow in their footsteps.
