Comments: This sentence might as well be telling other people that it is not that bad a crime to drink and drive. People get more time for stealing material things (even money can be replaced) but live cannot.

Comments: Unfortunately, no length of sentence will ever bring back our good friend, Sarah or her Dad, but it would satisfy most to know that justice, in some form, had been served. Such a lenient sentence is simply not commensurate with the seriousness of the crime. It is tiresome to think that cases like this require being made an “example” of, as in the case of the Selby Train Crash, in order for victims and their families to get justice served upon the offender – the law should serve an appropriate sentence in the first place.

Comments: This is a disgusting sentence, I have recently lost my dad and i was devasted but I cant begin to imagine what this family has gone through. I believe the only comfort they could have gained was knowing this man went to jail, 8 months is a joke not a sentence.
