Name: Tammy Lewis on May 10, 2002State:Country: UKComments: I was a very close friend of Sarah and it disgusts me to think that her life has been taken at the age of 23 by a drunk driverThe sentance given is laughable and has been an injustice to her family. It is Sarahs remaining family that are serving a life sentance now as her sister Charmaine will never walk again and her mum Jane has lost a loving husband and daughter due to this mans neglegence. I am so very dissapointed in the sentance that has been given and will give 100% support to them. People have got to ask themselves would they see this as a fit enough sentance if it was there family, lets hope we can make a changeFlag

Name: Keith Bushell on May 10, 2002State:Country: UKComments: I did not beleive the story when I read it in the paper, I thought it must have been a misprint...but no,it was true ! you'd think that given the chance, the courts in this country would stamp down really hard on drink drivers and make an example of them to deter other drivers from drinking and getting behind a wheel of a car. I think this decision has given license to other would be drink drivers to take the veiw that the punishments are not that hard and they can expect nothing more than a couple of months in prison and a slapped wrist. with all the money that is spent on advertising each year ( espeacially round christmas time ),I think that this has hypocrisy written all over it.Flag
