This petition is meant to introduce legislation to stop bullies with a law that will make accountable for their actions. Across the country children are being bullied and the school officials and parents are not doing enough to make those bullies accountable. I'm not talking about a simple slap on the wrist. I mean to make them sorry for their ill behavior, and possibly hold the parents accountable as well. Children should not have to go to school for anything else except to receive an education. They should not have to accept threats from thugs with the pretense of the bullying being just a joke. I would recommend a scale of punishment as follows: First time a reprimand and detention. Second time suspension from school for a period of time and still be required to keep up with their assignments. Third time... 3 strike rule. Be expelled for the rest of the school year, or go to a youth facility for discipline. Now, this may sound harsh to you but what is the potential alternative? If it can save a child's life or sanity it would be worth all this and more.
