Christian Aid is responding to the devastating earthquake in Haiti with emergency aid. This disaster hit an already vulnerable country, with poor infrastructure to cope. The reason? Debt.

We need to help Haiti in the short-term and the long-term. Last year you helped cancel Haiti’s debt to the UK. We are now calling on the UK to lead the world in making sure that all of Haiti’s remaining $890 million international debt is cancelled immediately, and all emergency and development funds for the people of Haiti are given not loaned.
