We the undersigned hereby petition Ontario government to lower tuition fees. Since 2006 tuition fees have increased as much as 71% in Ontario. Students are paying an average of 6,640 per year. Ontario is now the least affordable province in Canada to pursue a university education. Ontario tuition fees have the ability to increase by 5 % per year resulting in projected annual fees of $9,000 by 2015-16. We have power in number, and not protests. We, the Ryerson University student body, demand that Ontario University tuition fees drop by 5%.
