Parents are generally not required to provide support for their non-disabled children after age 18. Yet, students whose parents will not contribute to paying for their college education are still required to submit information about family income and aid is calculated based on a minimum family contribution. This is unfair and needs to be changed to avoid penalizing young people without parental support. Sign if you agree FAFSA should be altered.
