Name: Jennifer Maskovich on Aug 23, 2003State: CACountry: USComments: Just yesterday I watched an elderly man nearly kill a small child in the median of a shopping mall, by not paying attention and cutting the turn too soon. Then the elderly man sat in his car dazed and confused blocking other patrons from passing. I see examples of impaired driving by the elderly on a daily basis, it scares me, moreso than the new teenage driver, at least they have all of their motor functions. I think seniors should be tested every year after age 55 to ascertain their driving ability. Reflexes, response time, attention span etc..Flag

They need to be retested for their drivers license every year after the age of 60! Their eye sight and reaction time are very far behind the rest of the drivers out on the road.Flag

Name: Monique Galindo on Jan 26, 2004State: CACountry: USComments: I was driving one day around 6 p.m. and this older lady was driving in front of me. She wasn't paying much attention so I tried to stay a safe distance behind her. About 2 minutes after slowing down she hit a young girl around the age or 15 who was riding her bike. I called the cops and tried to calm the girl down but I didn't move her for fear that her neck was broken. The ambulance arrived later. The older lady just said "Well I didn't see her."Flag

Please get them off the road, or start a group that will drive them place they need to go. I soon will be a senior, but I'm getting my daughter to drive me around. I dont want to cause any accidents.Flag

Name: NEETTA BLACK on Jan 10, 2005State: GACountry: USComments: While I believe that the majority of seniors would pass the tests and continue to pass well into their 60's, 70's, even 80's, I do believe that the tests should to determine it. While I value my independence greatly I would hope that as I am getting older I would not want to be driving on the road of if I am not safely able to do so.Flag

It is an accident waiting to happen.Flag
