I've formed this petition in order to try to gain the Governments attention towards just how many people are being affected by some 550 workers who are on strike. Although their strike seems justified it doesn't help that jobs are being lost, job opportunity squandered and that many people are feeling that a public service that should be a right seems to be simply a service that can be offered only when a foreign company sees fit. We are calling that the government of Ontario step in in one of two ways. a) Step in and force a resolution between Serco and the United Steel Workers Union or b) Have the Ministry Of Transportation hire some temporary examiners who are employed by the government and NOT by a foreign country who only seems leave a bitter taste in the mouths of anybody they serve.
