We support the emission of Driver's Licenses for undocumented immigrants in Florida in order to make our roads safer. Florida has almost 1 million undocumented aliens (7.3% of the nation's total population of undocumented immigrants) and with this many people driving without licenses the risk to legal drivers is enormous since unlicensed drivers cannot buy auto insurance. By issuing licenses to all in Florida, newly licensed drivers will not only be able to buy insurance but also have to go through the normal process of getting a license in Florida which includes driving and written tests, making our roads safer.
