Has anyone ever been pulled over in their car to be told by an officer that your License has been suspended without any knowledge that it was suspended and no proof from the Department of Motor Vehicle that they sent you a letter .If the court system sent you a letter it should have been sent by Certified Mail and signed by you or a notice from the mail carrier to pick -up an important piece of mail at your local post office .It is embarrassing to be detained by an officer and treated like a true criminal for something you had no knowledge of , when your insurance is cancelled or a doctor drops you as a patient they send you a Certified Letter stating the case , and you don't have to worry about jail time or seeking a lawyer.Shouldn't we get the same respect from our Department of Motor Vehicle .
