Comments: I use this inlet often and agree that it is a major safety hazard to all, especially novice boaters. Let's not let a drowning draw attention to something that need fixed.

Comments: Area between Harkers Island and Barden's inlet was very shallow last fall. I understand it is even worse this spring. This is a highly used inlet and if unpassable puts even more traffic in an already crowded Beaufort Inlet.

Comments: Please help us in any way to keep this Inlet open to navigation. Many commercial fishermen, recreational fishermen, and boaters in general depend on this inlet for safe passage to the ocean waters. Thank you

Comments: This channel was already dangerous this past fall, and is steadily getting worse. Boat traffic during warmer weather will be heavy, and without prompt action to dredge this channel there will be serious accidents.
