The pedestrian bridge that joins Gravelle Street and Drake Street was recently deemed unsafe and is now closed for usage. The City is working on getting engineering consultation and council approval for rebuilding of the bridge but I was told it could take utnil the Fall or later for this to be completed. This is unacceptable! The bridge is an integral part of our neighbourhood! It is used by our children to walk to and from school and friend's houses (without having to travel on busy main roads), it is used by people exercising, walking dogs and getting to work. Please join me in showing support for getting the bridge rebuilt quickly. Council will need to find and approve the funds for this so this petition would go a long way to show them how important it is!
