Lloyd Wiens | This project is important to the economy of Banning and the surrounding area, the development of new drag racing facilities in So. Calif., and for keeping racers off the streets. Please reconsider and reinstate this project.
Eugene J. Ravera | Please save this project for all concerned
Dennis Carrico | Drag Racing was born in Southern California. It is a sad testament to note that Southern California has 1 year round 1/4 mile drag strip, and that it is located in a PARKING LOT!!!!!! Perhaps the City of Banning should contact the City of Fontana to see what the economic contribution of THAT Dragstrip is to the local economy. I've been there many times, and when they have an event, IT IS PACKED FROM beginning to end.

Gordon Moore | It would be a real shame to see this project abandoned because of some greedy speculators. Southern California was the birthplace of drag racing and is still very much a "car culture" society as I have seen from my trips there. I would think that the city would love to be a part of the restoration of that idea-since most of the orignal historical tracks were already eaten up by economic development...perhaps HD partners should consider joining in the fight too...
Kenneth Morgan | I am new to the area but was very much anticipating the prospect of a new dragstrip. Seems like more of the usual though, tons of people including law inforcement complaining and cracking down on street racing but no help from local officials for a viable alternative.
Anonymous | Please save drag racing. They're taking all legal drag racing away from us!

Tim McCarthy | Typical CA have so many loop holes and environemntal impact studies no wonder people leave this state and no business want to builds here all the red tape and buracacies just to get a drag stip built great no you want lose tax dollars thats good thinking BUILD THE DRAG STRIP!!!!!!
Steven Mason | Don't let this wonderful project die. We all eagerly anticipate the day we can attend races at Drag City.
David Enders | At a time when business in California is still being squezed out of state it is amazing to see the continued short sighted view that public officals continue to display. I have watched this project with great anticipation. It would be a very sad loss to trash this sorly needed facility.
NICK NADEAU | I WANT A DRAG RACE NEAR SO I DONT HAVE TO GO TO FONTANA
jim nelson | man i have been waiting for awhile to race my car down drag city if this doesn't happen i guess i will have to go back to the street which i don't want to do, i dont want my car crushed but thats what will happen if it doesnt go through.
Matt Braun |
Ronnie Bazik | I believe that building a drag strip would be very essential in southern california, because it will cut down on the street racing out here. I know that I have street raced for years because there just isn't a drag strip around here,. I also know that if this drag strip was built I would stop street racing.

| 869 | Anonymous | We need a track that can be open on the week ends
starting on friday nights to help keep us drag races off the street. I dont street race but i do run my car up and down the street if there are to many week ends between races. |
Josh Bligh | I have been waiting and watching the progress of the new drag strip for nearly five years. Each time I drive through Banning I look for signs of a new strip. It will be great once it's built. Please keep this project moving forward so we have a real place to race.
John Taylor | As an old-time racer, it would be very agreeable with me if a drag strip was built only 1/2 hour away. To avoid the long drive to Fontana or Pomona, I'd be willing to pay a larger entry fee to run my car or view races in Banning.
Dustin Holyoak | This racetrack would bring the city of banning and surrounding communities economic income that will surpass any previously seen in the area. In addition to giving people a safe place to race and have fun.

| 875 | John | Gentlemen;
Please re-consider this. Our sport needs a safe & legal place like this in your City.
Thanks, John M... |

Jason Boatright | We need a track that is open more than 1 time a month. I love drag racing and if a track isnt open I dont get to race. We need to open more tracks to get more people off the streets and into a safe location to have fun. We already lost 2 tracks this year.

Manote Jr Jiramoree | Drag racing in a controlled area will help people take it off the streets.

ROMMEL ESTRADA | I am 28 yrs old. Back in my younger days there was Terminal Island, LACR, Pomona, and Irwindale. Now only 2 of the 4 I mentioned exist.. The 2 that are left don't even hold grudge nights anymore, this has led teenagers, and all types of people to the streets.. This not only has caused problems, and fatalities for the past years, but my friend's death, and issues for many others to follow.. I may live very far from this racetrack if it was ever built.. But I guarantee you, I will drive hours just to have a place to race, for not just my friends and loved ones, but for the safety of all of us and the many more kids in the future.. Please give us a chance, we have nothing but positivity for something that has no way of loosing...

Anonymous | i may live miles away but the more tracks we have around the less street racing there will be. people that love the sport of drag racing should have the right to do what they love in a safe controlled enviornment.
Gary Hibbard |
Jim Henesey | Kids get killed street racing everday. A safe facilty for drag racing would not only get them off the streets, it would provide a wonderful opportunity for the city of Banning to get their city on the map and not have to see Beaumont/Banning as a fast food exit on the way to Phoenix, from Los Angeles.

MARIO | THANK YOU
Henry C. | Became addicted to drag racing in the past year. The constant closures of many Southern California tracks have made people take to the only place they know: the streets.
daniel miles | so cal drag racers deserve and need more places to take our sport, keep it off the streets
Mike Riggs | With the numerous recent and ongoing injury/fatality accidents from street racing it is a shame that more legal tracks are not open. This is a great opportunity for the community to generate revenue and save lives!
Dick Moseley | I am a 72 yr old drag racer. Ive been in this sport since 1954. I started at Santa Ana with a 39 Ford with a 53 Cadillac engine.. Quite simply put.. We need the strip at Banning even if it is only 1/8 mile at the start. Surely you saw what the Night Of Fire produced a few yrs back. As the saying goes" You build it they will come.. Do the city of Banning a BIG favor and help these guys build the Drag Strip that is so much needed here in the state of California. Not just for us Pro racers, But for the up and coming Drag Racing kids, Get them on the strip where they belong. Not on the streets... Thank you for reading this. And I support the Drag-City project all the way... Dick Moseley
