AnonymousIf young people, particularly, are not given a legal place to race and test their cars, they will continue as always to race on the streets of your town, with bad results for everyone. This is a public safety issue as well as an opportunity to bring money into the Banning economy.
Daniel Lee Cash sr.The city of Banning Council members (of the last 30 years or more) that I know of , have promised all kinds of tax cuts, special Variances of code, etc.,etc. And have turned a blind eye to the special interest of their own !!!! They WILL even FALSIFY legal documents to obtain their objective. The City government should be listening to the people that voted them into office (and I do mean ALL of the people) not just the wealthy, new to Banning, Retired to Banning, or other special interest groups. The majority of the people that I have talked to about this very subject have been in favor of it. I have talked to Dean Kirsten at HOT VW magazine and I got the impression that some shows might be considered. The city needs to get off their backsides and DO something to get the show MOVING!!!!

J. FosterWe bought 2 cars and prepared hem for this and have waited patiently for you to move forward. I am disappointred you have made a grave error in giving all kids/people/race fans false hope who have looked forward to this for YEARS now. Come on guys this is now pathetic reasoning to halt progress Lets move foward to a dream for all! .

Bill CreechI am a native of Riverside and watched the closing of the original Fontana, OCIR, Riverside, Lions, etc. I believe that a quality drag strip in the Banning area would attract racers from all over, including me, and would be capable of making the $23M projected impact appear very conservative. Not only that, but it provides a viable venue to get kids off the street where they are currently hurting a lot of innocent people.
Glenn ForbushA new dragstrip is needed in So Cal.

Ted MontanoWe need this track!
Eddie MillerI feel that a drag racing facility is ALWAYS a good thing, it helps keep the kids off the street and its a sport that the whole family can participate in. Furthermore, it would be expected that it would bring a considerable amount of revenue to the area businesses.

Don (Rick) SmithI used to race at an 8th mile track in San Bernardino, Norton Air Base about 10 yrs ago and also Pomona but way to far to go from here in the desert and Banning is so close and I've participated in the Stage Coach Days and Market nights there in the past. Hope the drag strip goes through we need some healthy diversions for our kids and "seniors" --lol, Rick

Todd WestlieRemember history: NHRA sanctioned dragstrips make for safe racing which otherwise occurs on city streets. As the dragstrips have closed down, street racing has enjoyed a rebirth and safety has been compromised. Banning CC: Which would you rather have - safe or unsafe racing? Think about it because racing will go on either way.
