This is a public safety issue as well as an opportunity to bring money into the Banning economy. |

They WILL even FALSIFY legal documents to obtain their objective. The City government should be listening to the people that voted them into office (and I do mean ALL of the people) not just the wealthy, new to Banning, Retired to Banning, or other special interest groups.The majority of the people that I have talked to about this very subject have been in favor of it. I have talked to Dean Kirsten at HOT VW magazine and I got the impression that some shows might be considered. The city needs to get off their backsides and DO something to get the show MOVING!!!! |

| 775 | Bill Creech | I am a native of Riverside and watched the closing of the original Fontana, OCIR, Riverside, Lions, etc. I believe that a quality drag strip in the Banning area would attract racers from all over, including me, and would be capable of making the $23M projected impact appear very conservative. Not only that, but it provides a viable venue to get kids off the street where they are currently hurting a lot of innocent people. |

| 787 | Todd Westlie | Remember history: NHRA sanctioned dragstrips make for safe racing which otherwise occurs on city streets. As the dragstrips have closed down, street racing has enjoyed a rebirth and safety has been compromised.
Banning CC: Which would you rather have - safe or unsafe racing? Think about it because racing will go on either way. |
