Name: Robert Oak on Apr 7, 2007Comments: Run Peter Run! I cannot think of any representative, house or senate, who fights for America harder, especially on trade, economics, labor issues. I think the DSCC should offer you a chair of a subcommittee frankly, since you're a Senior house leader, but still I believe you would have so much more influence over US policy if you are in the Senate. Besides we so much need to get rid of Smith and his Corporate voting record! If you decide to run I promise to volunteer, work phones, walk, be a blogging fool to make sure you win it!

I hope you will give the the suggestion serious consideration and if you should decide to run for the senate seat, you can count on my support as a volunteer and financially.

We folks here in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania also need someone like you to represent us! I have admired you from afar for some time now. Please run for Senate so we can actually have someone there to represent the AMERICAN citizens. Thank you

Yes, the whole nation would be well-served if we could get Peter DeFazio into the Senate. I am one who would back him with some cash and whatever else i could contribute. Go for it, Peter!!

Name: Michael Handy on Apr 8, 2007Comments: I'm originally from Roseburg, Oregon, and had lived in Douglas County, represented by DeFazio, for most of my life. Time and again, I've seen Peter DeFazio in action, representing everyday working people. While Rep. DeFazio may have some reluctance at taking on a task such as running for Senate, I believe it would be worthwhile. Oregon needs a working-class champion and a chance to elect a real progressive to the Senate. Go Peter, Go!
