Name: Vara Neverow on Mar 2, 2009Comments: Dora is a role model for girls--she is intelligent, curious, brave and daring. Demoting her to a shopaholic with pink nail polish is ridiculous--there are plenty of Barbies and Bratz. Dora should remain DORA.Flag

Name: Josh Taylor on Mar 2, 2009Comments: As a father of two girls, I have learned it is important for girls to be independent, responsible, and have a high self-esteem. Dora embodies all these traits. In our society, girls must overcome many stereotypes that often limit their full potential. A makeover of Dora perpetuates these stereotypes and will hurt girls in how they see themselves & how they are judged by others.Flag

Please make Mattel and Nickoledeon standard bearers for other brands and develop the kind of society that will offer a confident, healthy market for your products and programs well into the future.Flag

Name: Britta R on Mar 3, 2009Comments: LEAVE DORA ALONE! Let her remain adventurous, spunky, tomboy-ish, smart, into animals, maps, exploring, and social justice. If you make her skinny and fashionable and into shopping/make-up/interior decorating/etc., I WILL BOYCOTT AND ENCOURAGE EVERYONE I KNOW TO DO THE SAME.Flag
