Name: Anonymous on Jan 27, 2013Comments: The only reason MSN lost users in the first place is because it became 'Windows Live Messenger'. A lot of people didn't like the change and there was no way to downgrade. If Microsoft stops trying to impose its changes on people by forcing them down their throats (LIKE THIS ONE), they wouldn't lose users.Flag

Name: Zac Denison on Feb 2, 2013Comments: I've been using MSN for years, it has more features than other IM services, and they just don't feel right. Skype is a waste, this is a lazy move, not an innovative move. Microsoft needs to stop trying to be trendy (Windows 8 what the hell?) and start listening to their hundreds of millions of customers. The Skype version won't even be MSN, it will just be skype, but you can sign in with your windows live account, what's the difference? No custom emoticons, no convenient file transfer, no voice clips, none of a lot of things that make MSN useful for what it is.Flag

Name: Jamie R on Feb 3, 2013Comments: WLM is simply a MUCH BETTER chat platform than Skype. I mean, Skype sucks. It's ugly, confusing, disorganized .. Crashes, removes and jumble contacts, spams you to buy 'skype credit'... list goes on. I've been using WLM/MSN for my entire young to adult life. Seriously. It works. I voice chat on it like 10+ times a week for hours. Plust even just chat is far and away superior to Skype. I think this is just another bad move from Microsquish. Please don't retire WLM/MSN!!!!Flag

Name: Cassie Jones on Feb 4, 2013Comments: I was freaked enough when Windows Live Messenger was updated with a new look! But its still a reliable start up service and it's been my only one, I've never had another, why should we be forced to have something like Skype which people like me don't even want? Have some courtesy for those of us who don't want all these 'extras' and let us keep Windows Live Messenger please!Flag

Name: Barry Boschen on Feb 4, 2013Comments: Keep Windows Live installer, make it run on skype servers by all means, don't spend much effort maintaining it either, but at the very least you really don't have to ditch the code, surely widnows live servers act as a backup for those on skype who already have msn log ins, why get rid of that sort of redundancy!?? Some people require MSN/Skype to be separate, one for business one for personal, i know skype can be laucnhed twice, but it's a pain to set up, and not really automatic the last time i tried it.Flag

Name: B. Maedjong on Feb 8, 2013Comments: This decision is outrageous. Some MSN features (custom emocitions, soundclips, picture sharing) I have used with joy over many years and esp custom emocions represent a part of who I (and my friends) are online! We don't use video/audio, we chat. Many do. So if the essential features are not integrated into Skype then this (forced!) merge will make many users (including me) find other chat clients with a more user friendly interface because - let's be honest - Skype's interface and features (except using audio/video) just SUCK. Don't do this, microsoft people, it is a very bad decision!Flag

Name: Carissa on Feb 14, 2013Comments: Messenger is more a fun way to message rather than an online phone like skype with no fun to it. Messenger has many more features than skype, such as coloured fonts and customisable emoticons which makes you unique and makes fun out of conversations and is the reason I grew to love this Instant messenger. It also has very many memories attached with it. It means alot to me.Flag
