Comments: I use Windows Live Messenger ALL the time. I have Skype, but I rarely ever use it, instead preferring WLM. I will be extremely ticked if you take WLM away from me.

Comments: MSN is the only messenger I use on a daily basis. If it gets shut down, I will refuse to move to Skype (not out of spite, I just don't like the program), and instead resort to a competitor program. Please, MSN, you have so many users.

Comments: The fact that they are saying its due to "user decline" sounds fishy, I have maybe met TWO people in my entire life who don't use msn, and after I told them about it... they went and signed up for msn. Skype is great for video, but I would never use it to have a text-based conversation with someone, its just awful at that. MSN however, is indispensable for text-based conversations. It's organization and build is so well suited to text IM'ing that it makes every other chat client feel either severely inadequate or horrible and bulky (like Skype)

Comments: I have so many uses for MSN that Skype and other messengers can't even HOPE to match. If I lose MSN, I've lost a lot more than just a messenger hub. And if MSN fixes the problems with user complaints - did they notice that the 2011 version was really hated? - then they might get a lot of their users back...! This is a really intense move based on such a small note, and it makes me sad to even hear about it!

Comments: Come on guys. I don't understand what you're doing, and neither does anyone else. Don't lose the rest of your supporters by doing this. People who don't like Skype use MSN and vice versa, so you'll basically be killing your market. Just-- no. That's not even smart!
