Name: Gina on Jul 13, 2008Comments: We had a female Rottie for 8 years. She was the best, most gentle dog - everyone she came into contact with said she was a wonderful dog with an amazing demeanor and personality. They said she was such a good dog. It is ALL IN THE WAY THEY ARE RAISED. Small dogs can be mean just as easy as a big dog-why aren't people making a stink about themFlag

Name: Amy Allred on Jul 13, 2008Comments: The question "Are Rottweilers vicious" is not an accurate question. ALL dog breeds are CAPABLE of having vicious individuals within the breed. As a breed, a well-bred Rottweiler is one of the best family pets you can possibly have.Flag

Name: David Sundblom on Jul 15, 2008Comments: Our 2 year old male is a friendly, gentle memeber of our family. Our family consists of me, my wife, 11 year old son and two cats. Our Rottie is kind and gentle with all creatures big and small. I firmly believe that it is all in the way they are raised and treated. If you don't believe me I'll be happy to show you a picture of our dog napping with an 18 year old blind cat.Flag

Name: Jennifer Carroll on Jul 17, 2008Comments: Rottweilers are extremely misunderstood. There are uneducated people out there that think that a bad dog is the dog's fault when in reality it is the human's fault. Rottweilers are intelligent and devoted family pets.Flag

Name: Maren Bell Jones MA, BA on Jul 20, 2008Comments: As an experienced dog behaviorist, shelter volunteer and foster (often of Rottweilers and other large breeds), and veterinary student, it is folly to ban them or any other breed. I own a Rottweiler/husky mix (another breed targeted for BSL) who was a former shelter dog that I fostered before adopting and he has AKC Canine Good Citizen. I am currently training a foster Rottweiler to be a certified therapy dog.Flag

Name: Angel on Jul 22, 2008Comments: I have owned three Rotts & all of them have been wonderful dogs. I also know many owners of Rotts, all with loving stories of their pets. Undoubtedly, this is a powerful breed, but they are also funny and kind animals. If anything, there should be more strict laws on dog ownership -- for all dogs, not just Rotts or Pits.Flag
