Dear Youtube, We, the undersigned, would like to ask you not to remove the video response feature from videos on your website. Those of us who are Content Creators find the tool invaluable, as it ennables our audience to connect with us, and we with them. It is also integral to helping channels grow, as smaller channels who respond to larger ones may have their videos seen by a wider audience, beyond their subscription base. The video response function has been promoted by Youtube itself for many years. In fact, without it, the website may never have become the phenomenon it has become. It has always been one of the aspects that put the "YOU" in Youtube - separating it from mediums like television, making it superior in many ways. Youtube was basically founded on video conversations between regular people, on subjects that matter to them. We don't begrudge the recent emphasis on commercial content. We acknowledge that Youtube is a business. But by removing this foundation, you severly diminish the overall Youtube experience, for viewers and Content Creators alike. We implore you to reconsider - PLEASE retain the video response feature. It would be good PR to show that you are sensitive to the concerns of your users. Since the function already exists, we can see no harm, nor hassle in maintaining it, as one of the most vital aspects of what makes Youtube such a special, and important social website.
