Have you ever wondered why you can and cannot do certain things at your school? It has been made clear by adults for many years that school is strictly a place for safe education; so why would they ban something that is not harming anyone's education? Better yet, why would they harm a student's education because of a piercing?

The Wayne County School system does not have proper grounds to stand on, they have ban this because they can; because they do not agree with having them. It is easy to infer that the County is trying to make it so some students can not get them at all until they are at a certain school. Wayne County School's Board of Education also have written on the County dress code that spacers, nearly invisible replacements of piercings, are not allowed as well.
The School Board should not have the right to ban something without proper reasoning. A facial piercing, as I have been told, does not distract my fellow classmates from learning; learning is once again, the only reason we are at school. The School Board's decision to have them ban unless a principle or a principle's designee has said otherwise, takes away a parent's right to allow their child to have it. Do you agree with this?
