There are rumors that MP Mangala Samaraweera is been ill treated by some officials in UNP and is in a state of "despair."
Although we cannot confirm the accuracy of these rumors, we -liberal
democrats hoping for a better cultural political future- believe it is very unfortunate if a visionary politician like MP Samaraweera is been sidelined in favor of some self appointed populist leaders.
We believe not only Samaraweera's tactical mastery is viral for UNP's
victory, his presence is extremely important to guide a future UNP
government in a more progressive political-cultural path.
We, hereby urge UNP and it's leadership to stop ill-treating MP Samaraweera and let him contribute for the victory of party in coming election.
