We the remaining students of the Schaumburg campus of the International Academy of Design and Technology are asking to not close the building on Saturdays during any remaining terms at the Schaumburg campus of the International Academy of Design and Technology regardless of if there is class held on Saturday or not. We, the students, need the facility on Saturdays because for most of us it is the only time we have outside of work and class to catch up with any school work. Also, a majority of us cannot afford the equipment available to us here at school. For example, for the VC students, most students do not have Mac computers, let alone the necessary programs needed to complete assignments such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut, Sound Track Pro, etc. For Interior Design students, programs needed would be Revit and AutoCAD, in addition to Adobe Creative Suite and drafting tables, and interior samples, Fashion students require Adobe Creative Suite, fashion lab equipment such dress forms, sewing machines, and large table for work space. All we are asking is for 5 hours on a Saturday to have time to do our homework, study, or have equipment available to us when we need it.
