It is the most important drug for use in humanely destroying animals and if it is not available, people as demonstrated will resort to inhumane ways of killing unwanted animals. There may be a need to start a lobbying and advocacy campaign to have the statutes prohibiting the importation of pentobarbitone relaxed..
