Name: Carissa Haston on Sep 20, 2002State: PACountry: USComments: I am a 24 yo who has suffered from gastroparesis for over eight years. I was on domperidone for several years and had no problems even though I am extremely sensitive to meds. I don't understand why this very safe drug is available in almost every other country except the US. It is expensive and insurance companies won't pay for it since it is not approved. Please consider allowing domperidone onto the market for everyone who desperately needs this drug to control severe nausea and vomiting.Flag

Name: Frank Rushing on Sep 21, 2002State: TNCountry: USComments: Dear Sir: Several GP patients are obtaining domperidone from NZ where no prescription is required. The drug has helped by digestive system work better and has helped control nausea. I think we are one of the few countries where domperidone is not legal and some without a prescription.Flag

Name: Julianne Zajic on Sep 21, 2002State: KSCountry: USComments: Without this drug, i would probably be knocking at deathh`s door. I can`t see how the US govt. can be so resistant to the approval of Motillium/Domperidone. There appear to be NO bad effects....... only GOOD benefits. Without taking Domperidone, I would be on total disability instead of able to go to work very regularly!Flag

Name: Judy England on Sep 21, 2002State: NECountry: USComments: There is currently only two drugs available in the US for gastroparesis. I do not respond to either drug so I am without any options other than receiving my nurishment trough a tube inserted into the small intestine. If I could use this drug, and it works for me, I would be able to eat food again. People don't realize how much they would miss something until it's taken away from them.Flag

Name: Magdalena Lane on Sep 22, 2002State: MICountry: USComments: My gastroparesis symptoms had become less severe with the use of domperidone. Unfortunately, I had to get this med from a source outside of the US. This med has been in existence worldwide for many years, has minimal side effects, and is helpful to many with the chronic condition called gastroparesis, alleviating vomiting & nausea. Please consider approval of this drug for use in the US. There are thousands of people with this stomach dismotility, who may be helped by this approval, not only physically, but also because it would become available through pharmacies, alleviating the cost to the consumer, if it were covered under a prescription drug plan. Thank you.Flag

We suffer so much and we deserve to get the attention from the media/public that most other diseases get, and we should be able to get this drug under our insurance plans.Flag
