Comments: Clearly this is not a matter of survival for the humans involved. This is unforgivable. The universe is darkened by this tragic behavior.

Comments: I can't believe such cruelty is looked upon as a acceptable in an otherwise civil country. How about showing teens they are mature and adult by stopping this tradition and finding a new civilized way to celebrate without involving the slaughter of innocent animals?

Comments: Viewing these pictures are like watching humans kill/torture humans. This is the most inhumane, senseless act man can do! If these young men want to prove themselves as having reached manhood then have go into the woods and survive on their own. A better rite of passage than killing the beautiful creatures of this world!

Comments: The government of Denmark should be accountable for these heinous acts of savage cruelty. They are beyond disgusting and reprehensible. I would hope that the government would ensure that the perpetrators of these crimes would spend many years in prison.

Comments: The rituals of becoming a man are different in every part of the world. Some of these rituals are hard to understand from an outside perspective, we can't judge simply because of this...however the slaughter of such amazing creatures makes no man more so a man. None of these young boys look starving to me, to kill an animal for the sake of survival is one thing but this seems different. My heart goes out to our poor sea bound friends..
