Comments: I love the idea of redesigning the dollar. I still love the elegance of the old designs and I hope that something can be created that would be timeless and not look dated and stale after a few years in circulation.

Comments: Though many difficult challenges face our nation today, I feel that a thorough redesign of our currency can uplift our citizens by putting thought-provoking images and words in their hands and wallets. A clean, unstuffy, elegant redesign of our currency--to reflect the diversity of our great country, achievements in the arts and sciences, and images of influential non-governmental personalities and of soul-stirring landscapes--could go a long way towards helping us think of greater things than mere money.

Comments: I am going to write my senator and the US treasury as well. I also believe in eliminating the penny and repalcing with a new 5 cent coin design keeping Lincoln and Jefferson on the coin. We're currently locing money on the initial minting of our present penney and nickel...no reaseon we can't mint a 5 cent coin for the 1.6 cents we spend minting pennies, and save the 7.7 cents we spend minting nickels. The coin could be a blue ceramic or aluminum copper steel mix. Then the collectors would help the government out by saving all of the pennies and nickels currently in cirrculation. The government has already made billions on the state quarters, this would be another example of maximizing the concept of seniorage...I think.

Comments: Our currency is dated and is in need of change for multiple reasons. Separation of church of state, better accessibility to the blind, etc. An upgrade is long over due!
