Name: Carrie Spitzer on Nov 12, 2012Comments: As a dog lover, I still am not comfortable being around loose dogs who wander with no owner. I am constantly worried that my small children are going to be bitten by a dog that "seems" nice. Dogs are animals and can't be trusted 100%. They should be on leashes for their safety and for the safety of others. As well, there should definetly be a law about picking up after one's dog. It is pretty discusting that my 20month old walks around pointing and saying "poopy" in order to warn us not to step in it.Flag

And there is always a disgusting mess on the sidewalks and parks.Flag

Name: Baruch Ben Sholomo on Nov 14, 2012Comments: Letting dogs defecate - and the owners ignoring their responsibilities to pick up and put in garbage - it is a stain on the reputation and beauty of Zichron Yaakov. Its political because only a proper action oriented bylaw with strict controls and penalties will end this. That is the experience of every city and locale - people follow the law when they know there are consequences for not doing so. Now is the time!Flag

Name: Roni Solomons on Nov 14, 2012Comments: I came to Zichron Ya'acov to visit my family, and quite frankly was disgusted to see the piles of dog excrement on the streets. Zichron has a fabulous and vibrant history, and could make so much more of itself. I understand that a new hotel and conference Centre are being built, but I just don't see how the town leaders think that visitors with money to spend are going to be attracted to do so alongside the packs of dogs fouling the streets and chasing peopleFlag
