The number of dogs running
loose in Zichron Ya'acov has reached an unacceptable level.
Children and adults are
being bitten, chased into busy roads - and some neighborhoods are becoming
'no-go areas'.
Dogs roaming freely on the
streets present a danger to adults, children and vehicle drivers alike.
It should not be the
responsibility of the public to identify the owners of dogs which are roaming
the streets.
The dog mess on the
streets presents a health hazard, as well as being unsightly. This is not the
image we want visitors to Zichron Ya'acov to remember.
We are requesting the
Mayor of Zichron to take a firm stand against the dog-owners who continually
flout the law, and to ensure that the dog catchers employed by the moatza are
accessible, available when needed and responsive to calls from the public
concerning dogs that are not either tied up or secure in their owners' homes or
gardens.
We demand Safer Streets
for the people of Zichron Ya’acov!
