As a dog owner I understand the frustration with the lack of dog waste bins in and around Kirkwall. I am sure that I'm not the only person who has noticed that rather than carrying their dogs waste to the nearest bin some owners leave it on the street, bagged or not, which gives the rest of us a bad name. The aim of this petition is not only to get Orkney Islands Council to recognise and address the issue but to provide a regular collection service to the bins we already have. I am aiming for 2,000 signatures but the more we get the more OIC will have to take notice. We already have a "Bag the Bruck" campaign, why not "Scoop the Poop"?
