My husband and I have been residents of Maple Ridge for five years, we go to Maple Ridge Park every day, and bring our dog, who loves to lay in the river. We have met many dog owners and are now asking that one of the horse shoe pits at the park be converted to a dog park. There are two fenced in areas with 20 pits which are seldom used and we have only seen two people randomly use the pits. I have spoken to many people and we all agree that one of the pits would make a perfect dog run. It is already fenced in and could be easily converted to a dog run.
