Since the acquisition of the Dodgers, the Guggnheim group has raised our season tickets 2 years straight. They even raised the cost of season tickets a second time for new season ticket holders this year. Parking will also be raised to $15 at the gate this year. All these raises have not been enough for the new ownership! They have also decided to discontinue the production of season ticket books for season ticket holders. One of the coolest experiences for a season ticket holder is receiving his/her season ticket book in March! We will no longer have that to look forward too. No more collecting your stubs or using them to scrapbooks. This change along with all the price raises is just another financial move. Just do the math! According to the Dodgers, they have sold over 30,000 season tickets this year. That means that they will not have to print at least 2.5 million stubs for season ticket holders, nor will they have to pay to ship them. This will result in huge savings for the ownership group for every year this continue. More money in their pocket! They will spend money to upgrade the stadium to be able to accept mobile ticketing, but in the long run that investment will pay them majorly.
