Comments: I agree with the above concerns and also feel that our kids spend many hours/days/weeks taking tests already -- to subject them to more, and unecessary ones at that, is wrong.

Comments: There is already too much emphasis on test scores in our school districts. I personally think they do not accurately represent a child's academic achievements or a teacher's success in imparting the knowledge. Children need to learn to be problem solvers, how to create new original ideas and use the tools available to complete activities in an effective manner. They also need to learn when to ask for help and when to help others. Teaching children how to take standardized tests does not allow teachers ample time to be creative and educate our children. I am very opposed to these field tests being conducted in our school district. This money can be put to much better use. Debbie Young

Comments: Educational testing is a business - these field tests are of no educational value to our kids and have no place in the classroom, displacing learning time.
