MNPS School Board will be voting on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 on the 2014-2015 calendar. The current options are: 1) Balanced Calendar (start on August 1, 2014; end on May 28, 2015, the Thursday AFTER Memorial Day). This includes a 2 week Fall Break and a 2 week Spring Break. Currently there is NO funding for intersession. 2) Traditional Calendar (start on August 6, 2014; end on Thursday, May 21 BEFORE Memorial Day). This includes 1 week for Fall Break and 1 week for Spring Break. This petition is in SUPPORT OF THE TRADITIONAL CALENDAR.
