Scott Voigts and Andy Hamilton should do the right thing and resign. Recall supporters got more than 8,100 verified signatures asking for a special election - only 7,782 were needed. The recall suppporters got more signatures than Voigts and Hamilton got to put them in office in 2014. If they resign now, before the election is certified, it will save the City the costs of a special election, estimated at $250,000 to $300,000 by Voigts and Hamilton. It will also spare the City any more turmoil. Sign this online petition and urge Voigts and Hamilton to do the right thing. They say they "love Lake Forest". Let them prove it.

The momentum behind this push is undeniable and it proves that Lake Forest has finally had enough of Voigts and Hamilton. These two men are clinging to their seats while the city suffers under their failed leadership. It is time for them to stop the games and step down immediately.

They have entered into a 10 year contract for the county animal shelter building and usage that has no limit on the cost amount the city is liable for.
Mayor Hamilton, your childish actions from the chair have clearly shown you are in over your head. This city is not a giant day-care center where you can call "time outs" when you think your charges are being rowdy. Time for you to do what most failed politicians do, resign to spend more time with your family.
Even with a 2-week lag due to Christams time, the signatures were still collected. Save our city further embarrassment by getting out of the way, so we can make decisions that are good for the EXISTING RESIDENTS of the city vs. expanding it against their will.
You are in office to represent the residents of Lake Forest and NOT your best interests. You have failed in fulfilling your responsibilities and should no longer be in office. Please assume an ethical position and resign. It's the "right thing" to do.
The citizens of Lake Forest are (finally) waking up and getting involved in local govt. If Voights and Hamilton "do the right thing" by resigning, it will save the city money and the constituents time and hassle.
They must resign. No changes will be done if they stay on board.

LF will go bankrupt the way you are spending our monies w/o any comparability studies. If you were concerned about LF residents, you would't have approved going to the County Animal Shelter, police contract, trash p/u change, myriad of new housing, and I could go on.......
