Galway City Council, 12th of March 2013 have decided unanimously to ban Rickshaws in Galway. Decision made by councilors was based on the argument that "rickshaws are dangerous and they don't add value to the City". Such an argument was made despite Galway Rickshaw operate over seven years without one serious accident, while carry over thousand happy customers per every single week safely. Number of high heels we have safed on Shop Street, and customers safely carried away to taxi rank or hotel its enourmous. This is how we add value to the City, we work hard at night, and we make sure that all customers are safely taken to the hotel or home, after night out. This decision will have an destructive impact on twenty legal rickshaw drivers and their families. This people work hard try to make some money and Galway City Council instead help to solve the problem illegal operators wants to send legal drivers on the dole.
