She violated her agreement that she would not drive because she was caught driving under the influence. No one should get away with that. No matter how much money they have or how often their in the tabloids. you break the law, you go to jail.

    Comments: It's obvious that she's only reaching out to Gov. Schwarzenegger because he is also a celebrity and is hoping he has some sympathy. Hopefully he'll act like a true governor and do his job, upholding this verdict. Cheers to the judge on her case, maybe if she goes to jail for her actions, it will open the eyes of other celebrities and realize they are not above the law. The "average joe" would be heading to jail for this blazen disregard for the law and so should she.

    Comments: Drunk driving is a serious offense- the millions of kids that look up to Paris Hilton should see that 1. drunk driving is punishable, 2. if you don't obey your punishment there will be consequences, and 3. money cannot buy you out of trouble. Giving Paris a pardon will teach kids its ok to drive drunk, and if you get caught on a suspended license- there will be no "real" consequnces. Probation didn't work- rehab is a joke for celebrities. Uphold the law to everyone.

    Comments: Paris Hilton knows she is a media figure and should understand that the moment she steps out the door she is acting as a guide for teenage girls throughout the country. She should be held accountable for her actions for once in her life. Her sense of entitlement is astounding and she shouldn't be above the law.

    Comments: I don't understand how she thinks thumbing her nose at the law is acceptable. The judge's sentence was completely reasonable. What else was he supposed to do She knew she had a suspended license. She drove anyway, knowing that she was going to be photographed while driving. Duh. If her appeal goes through I'll have lost all faith in the American judicial system.

    Comments: Although Paris seems to be punished in a far stronger way than many other celebrities, I do believe she deserves to be in jail. Other celebrities should be served with just as hard a punishment as any ordinary person on the street.

    Comments: not only did she break the law but she assumes that her celebrity status should get here a free ride. i think not. i know plenty of ppl who did what she did had to go to jail for longer. she needs to be taught that just because she's rich and famous that she can't get away w/ everything. she did the crime now pay the time!
